Shape up New York and Other Sketches

We went to the neighborhood senior center this morning and there was a Shape Up New York exercise class. I grabbed a few sketches. The rest I did at the park yesterday. It is the last day before our trip. See you in Europe.

Sketch Drawngs

Before we are heading for Europe, there are still a few days. So here and there I did manage to grab a couple of sketches today. The first one is a lady on the subway. she was leaning on the door.

In the afternoon, we went to the local senior center. There happened to a line dance class which people seemed to enjoy very much. Maybe self-enjoyment is what line dance about. You would see at the center seniors who come in all shapes, sizes, and ages. Some were in good shape and could still walk with a straight back; others looked like Bibendum in the Michelin Tire commercial or bowed down like shrimp. In spite of that, they all danced with such passion as those being selected for the show of Dancing with Stars. I did a few sketches about their dance movements. Also, there were some about those in the audience or when they were on break. You figure.

Sketch Drawings

It was a comfortable spring day at Forest Park, NY. After lunch I took a walk there and stopped at the playground. Some parents were sitting on the bench watching their children play. I did a few sketches.

The day before yesterday, in order to prepare for my trip, I didn't go out to paint. In the afternoon when I felt I got everything done and still had some time left. I went to online Croquis Cafe and made a few 2-minute "life" drawing practice. The following are three of them.
