Plein Air Oil Sketch: A Moss-Draped Little House by the Caloosahatchee River

The weather was perfect this morning, low humidity with the temperature around 70 degrees. I drove to Alva. About 30 feet down the road facing the viewer was a boat ramp to the Caloosahatchee. The little house behind the fence nestled under the foliage of the woods. It was very quiet except for two leashed dogs barking in the backyard.

I learned something else today. In addition to the bug repellent sprayed to my arms, I did my shoes and the easel with Home Defence, so no mosquitoes or ants came to interfere with my painting today.
