Ink Wash: Neighbor's House Under Snow

I did this ink wash from my window. Hope I can go out this afternoon.

  1. Great ink wash for all that snow. The lack of color actually is right for a grey feeling the winter can have when the sun is hidden. Everything is quiet after a snowfall. Until the people get moving again and snowplows interrupt the stillness...I think you stopped time. We take shelter for granted sometimes so I am glad your house painting describes the fortress HA! Lots of people have some really cold temps this week. The houses are so tall I forget sometimes how sturdy the homes up north are built especially the Tudor style.I always liked the castle European look with the "timbers" crisscrossing the stucco.Felt like I was looking out a window back in Cleveland, Ohio...9 cities ago! Thanks.
