Sketch

This afternoon I took a walk to the local library with my sketchbook. I haven’t done it for quite a long time since I recovered from the Corvid. I didn’t want to give up, so I simply took it as a warmup. I drew a lady with a child working at the table. Shortly afterwards, they moved away from the table. Therefore, I also did a quick sketch of the lady.

Sketches at the Queens Library

Because of the weather, I had not walked or exercised for quite a few days. It was not raining this afternoon. Therefore, I took a walk to the Queens Library with my sketchbook. There were not many people there. As usual, I went to the children’s books section and grabbed two quick sketches. One lady was sitting on the floor working on her laptop. I guess she had to work in that uncomfortable position because she had to use the wall outlet to recharge her laptop. The other lady was playing with her cell in an easy chair.

Sketches

This afternoon, my friend David and I went to the Forest Park in an attempt to grab some sketches. Unfortunately, possibly because it intermittently snowed a little, there was almost nobody in the park except for a few dog walkers and a woman who was feeding a child on a bench. Therefore, we decided to go our old gathering place, the Ateaz Cafe. I did a few more. Even though I didn’t accomplish much, I enjoyed our chat. We haven’t seen each other for quite some time.

Clarinetist Eddie Kent

On my way to the MacDonald Park this afternoon, I heard melodious clarinet music from far. I followed the music to the rotunda and saw a guy with his four-leg friend was playing the clarinet. He was obviously lost in the beautiful song he was playing. I quietly picked a bench nearby and made a quick sketch of him. Before long his four-leg friend seemed to be irritated by a squirrel and tried to chase it. The clarinetist had to take a break to cope with his friend’s irritation. I showed him my sketch and let him take a picture of it. We introduced ourselves to each other. His name is Eddie Kent.
