En Plein Air: The Kayaking Dock (Oil, 9 x 12)

I went with the Lee Plein Air Group to the Riverside Park at Bonita Springs this morning. Its kayak dock was located by a railroad bridge over the Imperial River, which seemed to be a favorite place for kayak lovers from around Fort Myers to practice. There happened to be a group of kayakers who were busying themselves launching their vessels one by one when I set up to paint.

En Plein Air: David's Barn (Oil, 10 x 17)

Originally I planned to paint his hay rolls this afternoon. However, when I got there, David and his family had already moved the rolls away because of the dry weather, leaving a sweep of empty fields. I decided to paint the sky with his barn in the center.

Sketches at the Car Dealer's Services Waiting Room

I am back home in Florida. My car maintenance service was overdue, the first thing on my today's list of things to do was taking the car to the dealer. It was surprisingly crowded there and I had a long waiting. By the time it was supposed to be finished, the mechanic discovered a nail in the tire, which further extended my waiting. The good thing was the fact that I had my sketchbook with me.

I don't understand why in two of the following sketches there is a line when I uploaded them. My drawings don't have it, but I just leave it as it is.

Sketches: Four Young Mothers at the Playground

I took a walk at the Park and made the three sketches at the playground. You may notice there are stains of rain droplets on the paper. That is because it began to drizzle when I was drawing.

Finished and Unfinished Sketches on Subway E Train NYC

Sorry, I put the wrong date on these sketches. It is 4/14/2017. I don't know why I dated them three days ahead of time. Am I getting an Alzheimer attack?

En Plein Air: April Rain at the Overlook Point of the Forest Park

I went to the Forest Park in the late morning. It was getting cloudy and windy. In the middle of my painting, it began to rain. I had t wait till the rain stopped to continue it. The building in the picture is the NYU Department of Parks and Recreation on top of the Overlook Point.

En Plein Air: Awakening Woods (Oil, 9 x 12)

I went this afternoon to the Forest Park. The temperature was pretty warm around the noon. It was a roadside view. At first, I tried to include the Hampton Court Apartment building in the back, but it was lost in the process. Maybe it is better this way.

En Plen Air: Early Spring (Oil, 9 x 12)

It was the first time I did painting plein air in months. My physical therapy was finally over yesterday. I went out this morning with Kew Gardens Plein Air Meetup Group at the Station Square, Forest Hills. Strangely, somehow I forgot how to paint. I found it weird that I was handling the brushes, the paints, etc. in an awkward way. More than a half hour later, I became a little more comfortable. The good thing is now I can painting again even though physically I am not myself before. Maybe I never will.
